The Hunt is on!

On Tuesday I got together with my fabulous playgroup-friends and we organised a little Easter egg hunt for our little ones. I know it is not Easter yet but it was fun to do this activity with friends and just enjoy the lovely spring weather we are having - I adore all the fresh, lush green vegetation around, it makes for such a beautiful backdrop.

The kids had a blast and I had fun taking pictures of them. Although they were like moving targets racing around the lawn, in and out of the sun - a great learning curve for me!

{I've decided that I must start practicing "smiling" with Alex, all I get are these rather weird, cheesy grins that make it seem like I'm a dentist that is trying to check his teeth.}

Some Things That Easter Brings

Easter duck and Easter chick,

Easter eggs with chocolate thick.

Easter hats for one and all,

Easter Bunny makes a call!

Happy Easter always brings

Such a lot of pleasant things.

Colouring outside the lines!

Yesterday it was my son's "Spring Show" at his preschool. Once again this was a challenging place and subject to take pictures in and of, but I did get a few cute images to remember his stellar performance by - he did so well!

Alex's favourite colour is orange. When my husband Ben and I saw the kids coming out as crayons we immediately looked at each other and said: "Alex will be orange".....and so he was! We had so much fun watching the little ones express themselves (or not) and they made all the parents laugh with absolute delight!

Although a little shocked at first, Alex warmed up slowly and then had fun colouring outside the lines!

 "We could learn a lot from crayons; some are sharp, some are pretty, some are dull, while others bright, some have weird names, but they all have learned to live together in the same box."

Spring has Sprung!

Well, I'd say it is truly spring now, all around us we see beautiful, fresh evidence of that. In my mind there is no better time to start this new venture than in the spring.

This is also my spring. My beginning!

Yesterday the twig was brown and bare;
To-day the glint of green is there;
Tomorrow will be leaflets spare;
I know no thing so wondrous fair,
No miracle so strangely rare.
I wonder what will next be there!

I'd like to share some pictures I took the other day, I think they truly epitomize SPRING!
