My little soccer man - Lil' Kickers Suwanee, GA

With the UEFA European Championship, one of the world's biggest sporting events, having just kicked off, I thought I'd share a few pictures of my little guy at his soccer classes.

This was a real test for my new gear. All I could do was crank up the ISO setting and see what happens, but the picture quality is quite unbelievable at ISO 4000.

During yesterdays class Alex played his first little "match", unfortunately I couldn't be there but I was told that he did really well and let's just say "stood his ground"!

Super Soccer Party!

Just over a week ago I was asked to take pictures at a soccer birthday party for Miss J and Mister J, whom you may recognize from a couple of my previous posts.

This is another one of those cases where I'm literally watching the children grow though my lens and I love it! I just looked at a shoot we did in in the spring of 2011, and my how they have grown. On the one hand it is fabulous to see the development and on the other hand it makes me sad, soon they'll be all grown up. But I hope to be able to follow them as they carry on growing and developing.

These pictures were taken at an indoor soccer venue, which is a highly challenging place to take pictures. They may not be the most artistic shots, but they really do convey the fun time the kids had. I also got some exercise as I ran around the soccer pitch snapping away. There were moments when I thought I'd get run over by a mob of 4 and 5 year olds, but I was lucky to avoid such a collision.

At some stage I found myself lying stomach on the field shooting some very cute shots of Miss J and her Daddy, she was fascinated by the little rubber bits on the pitch. Just too cute for words.

This was a great venue for a party - the kiddos all had such fun!

Sibling Joy!

I love my job!

Meet Miss J and Master J - the two most photographed kids in the Suwanee area! Their Mom just adores pictures, which is totally fine by me!! These two kept me on my toes during our recent shoot at Sims Lake Park on a beautiful Sunday morning.

Boy, can a 1 year old move!! Funny how you forget these stages. But she was so much fun and I think the pictures completely capture her joy at being finally able to walk and move freely, there was nothing holding her back. She kept putting her little arms up as Mom called "I'm one!".

Her adoring big brother also did well, although I got the distinct impression that he would have preferred playing soccer with his Dad....I don't blame him! Still I think I got some wonderful shots of him too.

Enjoy these pictures, I had such fun doing them!
