The Little Things

During my photo shoot yesterday I noticed a few "little" things around me that I thought were beautiful and worth a few images.

I'm happy to report that the shoot went well, I felt good and happy to be back behind the lens again. I'll be posting some of the pictures soon!

Row your boat

We are very fortunate to know the right people around these parts!

One of our good friends owns a boat, which he keeps at Lake Lanier, so now and again we are invited for an outing and we always have a splendid time. The kids absolutely love it!

Usually the captain of the boat will park somewhere so that the little kids, and big kids for that matter, can enjoy a swim in the lake and then we'll have a picnic lunch out there.

Thanks so much to the T family we enjoyed our last little trip!!!

The End!!!

Ole' Blackeye

Ole' Blackeye was a pirate,
But he wasn't very good.
He wore patches over both eyes,
And a parrot on his foot!

His rotten ship and fraying flag,
Had seen much better days.
And his crew had all but left him,
'Cause they were not getting paid!

Ole' Blackeye couldn't read a map,
Or sail a route by star.
So he floated round in circles,
For near to not too far!

His wooden leg was broken,
And his beard a tangled mess.
The only help he had these days,
Was a scruffy dog called Jess.

Ole' Blackeye was a pirate,
And he knew at that he stunk.
So he packed it in and sold his boat,
Before he'd gotten sunk!

My son Alex had a blast at a Pirate Summer Camp this week and today the kids got to have their faces painted and show their parents what good pirates they were. Right at the end it was Popsicle time!

(Somehow the hat makes me think more of the Pope than a pirate....)
