My Photo is a Winner!

Very exciting news just came in: A photo that I submitted to the City of Suwanee's 2012 Snap Suwanee photo competition has been selected as one of only 13 winning photographs. The winning photo is of a boy (actually my son Alex) in the fountain, "Splish Splash Fountain Fun." This year they received 129 entries from 43 photographers.

The 2012 exhibit will be installed at City Hall by March 1. In addition to this exhibit, my photo MAY be included in a gallery of winning photos on the City's Facebook page and website as well as in stories printed by the Gwinnett Daily Post and other media. The City also may use Snap Suwanee photos in its publications and advertisements.

I am extremely happy and thank the City of Suwanee for this wonderful opportunity!

The 4 J Family!

Here are some pictures from another Christmas Mini-Shoot I had the pleasure of doing in November for the 4 J Family. I think we can all agree that this is a wonderfully photogenic family and I hope the images will be enjoyed far and wide.

We had a lot of fun with the shots of them sprawled on the floor looking up at me - the smiles are radiant! At the end I took a few head-shots for Mr. J.

Thanks again for letting me (finally) take some family pictures of you guys!!

Happy New Year!

I know I'm a little behind but I do still want to take this opportunity to wish all my friends, clients and readers the very best for 2012.

I must admit that this past year has been a very challenging one for me and my family but despite all the turmoil and sadness I've grown and learned a lot about myself and life in general. The good times of 2011 do stand a little in the shadows of my low points, but I did, do and will appreciate them profoundly always. The various wonderful trips I was blessed to take with my family, the start-up of my new company and the joy of watching it grow slowly, meeting wonderful clients whom I hope to see again this year for more fun shoots. Those are just a few good - no - great things that happened in 2011!

I should have posted my holiday greeting before the festive season but I was in Germany taking care of my late father's affairs and time was a rare commodity. I do hope that those of you who celebrate Christmas had a blessed and peaceful time with all your loved ones!
